Iranian documentary ‘Alone among the Taliban’ has received the best documentary award at the Athens International Film and Video Festival (AIFVF) in the United States.
The 65-minute ‘Alone among the Taliban’, a joint production of Iran and Afghanistan, went on the festival’s screen on April 5.
Directed by Mohsen Eslamzadeh, the documentary shows 15 days of the director’s stay among the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Founded in 1974, the AIFVF has continuously maintained a vision and identity that celebrates avant-garde, independent, alternative, and world media, in all genres and formats.
Located in rural southeast Ohio, it takes advantage of the beautiful location to sponsor outdoor screenings and media events.
The 44th edition of AIFVF was held on April 3-9, 2017.
